Wiki Master Stewart Mader To Deliver Keynote Address
Wiki guru Stewart Mader will be among our featured presenters at Web Content 2009 Tampa Bay, held February 17-18, 2009 in beautiful Clearwater Beach, Florida. Mader will deliver a keynote address entitled “Six Degrees of Collaboration” which will examine the collaborative requirements of enterprises large and small, including a discussion of the technology needs of small-to-medium sized businesses, universities, and non-profits and the impact those technologies can have on organizational employee productivity, innovation, and morale.
Mader is a self-proclaimed wiki evangelist, a popular speaker at industry events, and author of two excellent books Wikipatterns: A Practical Guide to Improving Productivity and Collaboration in Your Organization and Using Wiki in Education. He is Chief Consultant and Publisher of Grow Your Wiki, and founded Wikipatterns.com.
Mader also has significant experience applying technology to teaching, research, and the “business side” of higher ed. He has consulted with numerous schools, and served as Senior Instructional Technologist for Life Sciences and Brown Medical School at Brown University, Educational Technologist at Emerson College, Instructional Designer and Interim Director of the Faculty Center for Learning Development at University of Hartford.
Additionally, he is co-founder of The Science of Spectroscopy, a NASA-funded project which rethinks how science is taught by using a model that starts with real-world applications, gets students engaged and asking ‘how does it work?’ and then teaches techniques and theory.
